Dying Ship

My mom loves taking care and cultivating roses. When I was a kid, I usually accompany her in her garden and I spend our there weeding, pruning, cutting, and tending the plants. She sowed seeds of interest in me regarding Container Gardening because this is what she loves to do. My gardening days were cut short when I left home to attend college at the University of California at Berkeley. When I was already in the campus, I love seeing the gardens with all the flowers planted in containers. I bought a small house near the Pacific Ocean, in Ocean Beach, California. I planned to have this setting to make it very comfortable to build my beautiful garden, at the top of a hill, with a big yard. At first, I thought that my garden was a result of a miss and hit experiment because it was so messy. If I liked a plant, I bought it and planted it so I kept planting anything that caught my eye and my fancy. Deciduous trees grow in my garden, as well as flowers, pine trees, evergreens, and shrubs. I have planted almost every kind of plant in my garden. Many plants were ones that I remembered from my childhood. Taking care of plants is very rewarding and relaxing and I have always meditated on the beauty of these creations. There were plants that I also discarded because they did not fit the theme that I wanted to have. I wanted to have unique looking plants in my garden. I wanted to have a plant that cannot be commonly seen in many gardens. I bought one right away when I saw it in the market.
